Our success comes from ensuring real alignment between the aspirations and expectations of both the candidate and the client, if it doesn't work for everyone then, ultimately, it doesn't work for anyone.
Having spent over a decade working for a large recruitment firm and an Executive Search firm up to Director level, it turns out that there are patterns of behaviour that link the customers that I have worked with, repeatedly. These are largely centered around trust, transparency and work ethic.
A key area for conflict between Executive Search firms and the customers they serve are the two conflicting time scales. Search firms invariably want a 'deal' or placement to happen as soon as possible, largely to satisfy their own cash-flow needs but also so that no one reneges on their desire to move/hire as a result of either apprehension or good old 'buyers remorse'.
We, however, want to work with our clients in a timescale that suits them. We advise that in order to secure the best candidates, you need to be decisive and clear in your intentions - but this doesn't necessarily mean moving quickly. If time is a factor, we will tell you from the start, but usually where the hiring process falls down is when communication isn't clear, or when timescales are 'moved up' unexpectedly.
We will advise you objectively, not subjectively.
